SENKO CRAZE?!?!?!?!?!

Recommended Posts

What is this big buzz with senkos?  All I know is that they're a soft plastic.  Are they like the latest craze in bass fishing, or what?  Someone give me the 411 on Senkos!!!!!  I feel left in the dark here! :o

YOU MUST GO OUT AND GET SOME...........NOW!!!!!!!

You don't know what your missing out on.  There's tons of articles on this site about how to fish them.  My personal favorite is wacky rigged.

Don't sweat Dustin. I left fishing for about five years, then had a relapse, found this place and was confronted with like 15 threads all containing the word Senko. I was like..."I don't understand....???"

Man, you got that right.  I had left fishing for close to 8 years...then got back in it and heard about Senko's.  KUBassmaster is right.  Go out NOW and get some! ;)

I already have, and I just got back from fishing with them!  Th'ey're pretty cool.  I caught three good size bass on them.  One thing I didn't really care for about them, is that they're really soft, and I lost one for every bass I caught.  Other than that, no complaints!  I love the action, and the fall rate on them.  All around, awesome bait!   :)

Something that will save you a little $$:

I keep a plastic zip lock bad handy when fishing senko type baits.  I will keep the torn up ones and use them for wacky rigging.  I swear they like them torn up a little.

Fishing them kind of like a Super Fluke, but slower.  Twitch, twitch, long pause.  Every hit came on the pause.  Didn't get a chance to try them wacky stlye, though.  By the way, thanks for the advice KUBassmaster,  much appreciated, brother.  The store didn't carry the Yum Dingos, so I went with the Senkos.  Great bait, though.   ;)

KU, my mistake.  I thought they were "Dingos".  Phil probably thought I was whackaloon, asking for wild Australian dogs!  LOL!  Good times.  Thanks for the link.

if you go to walmart, pick up some edge worms.  these are senkos, but imitators.  i caught my biggest bass on these babies, 12lb 5 oz.  and they lasy about 5 fihs per each worm.  and are 2 bucks for 20 of them.  dont think they ownt work.  they are just as good as senkos, just more durable. also when you fish them, before casting them, pinch the tail, which brings salt to the surface, thus making the fish hold it longer

In 36 years of fishing, I've never seen a lure that has generated so much buzz as the Senko. I used them first in 2001, so Senkomania has been going on at least four or five years, because it was that mania that caused me to try them and I've been using them heavily ever since.
