I just started throwing a wacky style worm recently and was wondering what the best kind of hook to use.   Ive just been using a wide gap worm hook weightless and a senko.   Got any better suggestions?   Thanks guys

I just recently picked up some 2/0 Octopus Hooks from hookerz.Some reason i like that style for wacky worms than everything else.

I use a 1/0 or 2/0 circle or octopus hook for my wacky fishing.

I have tried several kinds of hooks and ended up going back to a 3/0 or 4/0 Gamakatsu EWG.  I tie this hook on and can switch between wacky and texas without having to retie.

2/0 straight shank hook with the slices bent flat

Alot of times I just use a 4/0 EWG just because its already tied.  When the worm is torn up on both ends, then I'll wacky rig.

3/0 EWG Hook.

I use weedless hooks and they work fine.

Usually 1/0 or 2/0 work perfectly.

I also throw the Wacky rig into lots of cover and structure and the weedless hooks perform as expected.

Just my two cents.

This is what i do too...i've tried the octopus hooks but my hook-ups went down so i went back to the old reliable ewg and that fixed the problem.

this is what i do also.

i don't see why people make a big deal (okay, maybe they dont make a big deal about it, but...) about using a different style of hook for wacky rigging.

i just use the same 4/0 gammy that i use for texas rigging without any problems.
