what are you guys main way of fishing a t-rigged plastic worm. the only way that i have had success with plastic worms is weightless rigged above weedlines. i am also going to try pitching worms the next time out, but i would like to know the main technique that you guys use.

Sometimes I swim them, other times I use a lift-and-drop retrieve. In lily pads and other surface vegetation, I drop them into holes and at the edges. You can crawl them along the bottom, crawling them over any cover that might be present, like a tree or a rock. Use them any way you can think of; you're limited only by your imagination.

I fish Trick Worms and Senkos weightless, but usually fish others with a light weight, like 1/16 or 1/8. It all depends on the type of cover, the depth you're fishing,  how fast a fall you want and other things.

I have had my best fishing with worms splitshot rigged I take a 6" or 7 1/2" worm and put a #4 snelled hook it I thread it in where the large lump is in the worms body.  Then i put a splitshot where the loop is on the snelled hook. While it isn't weedless years ago this method seemed to be the best productive way of worm fishing to this day.  This way of doing is so old it was used when just Creme made plastic worms.

I fish them on any kind of structure and under docks.  I fish them very slow, basically just craw them across the bottom.  mostly use creature baits(superhogs and yamamoto kreatures) did real well yesterday using a zoom trick worm tho.

I mostly use a hop and drag presentation, but last night I was fishing and not getting much reaction.  As I was working a cast back in, I saw a fish jump and started to burn it in to re-cast and a small bass slammed it.  I cast back into the same area and fished it like a jerk bait and caught two more in two casts (one was a 3 pounder).  When nothing else is working, try something that shouldn't, what can you lose.

very true, thats the best way to cover an area. change your retrive from slow to fast,  like a cat chasing a mouse, they may not want to eat it, they just want to get it.  instinct takes over. you can catch any fish out there once you know the right presentation.

I've had the most success T-riggin them and casting them to underwater grass and on points or rock banks.

I fish worms pretty traditionally like most guys, but the best worm angler in the Ozarks has his own style and he's won many 1000's of $ doing it.  He throws it past his target zone, lets it fall to the bottom.  One there, 3-30 feet deep, he hops it twice and back to the boat it comes.  It's very fast and he casts to specific targets.  He doesn't drag it anywhere.  Once in a great while he swims it for suspended bass.  His two primary colors are strawberry in clear water and red shad in more colored waters. Usually 9-11 inches with a 1/4 - 3/8 oz. weight.
