what hooks do u tend to use for c-rigs? i have read EWG but have no clue on its full name

EWG = Extra Wide Gap

Depends on the size of the lure that I am using.

3-5 in. lure = 1/0 EWG Gamakatsu

6-7 in. lure = 2/0 EWG Gamakatsu

8-9 in. lure= 3/0-4/0 EWG Gamakatsu (depends on thickness of lure.

10+ inches = 6/0 EWG Gamakatsu

Be careful about using a specific hook size based on length alone.  The thickness of the plastic really determines the hook suitable hook size. For example, most tubes are pretty thick so I use at least a 3/0 even on the 3 inch models.

Technically, this is an Offset Shank EWG hook isn't it?

Most of the time I will use an EWG but when I am pulling through grass I will switch to a straight shank worm hook. I comes back with alot less grass.

Keep in mind that one manufacturer's size 4/0 may not be the same as another's size 4/0 best to compare.

try an owner, i feel there the sharpest hooks they make.  i would use standard a 4/0
