Drop-Shotting Crawdad-Style Baits?

Featured Replies

Has anyone ever tried drop-shotting a crawdad style bait?  I'm sort of reluctant to try it, being that it might be a waste of valuable fishing time.  Any input?   ???

Waste of time? If you work a plastic crawfish on a dropshot it will act like a live crawfish. When you spook a crawfish it jumps up and hops around just like the action a plastic craw will have on a dropshot. It would be time well wasted with one of the most effective presentations next to a dropshot senko.

Carolina rigging a soft plastic crawfish like the Zoom ultravibe speed craw has been very productive for me in the past. I like wat/red for clear water and black/blue flake for stained water....Pays off to present it in a lot of different ways, sometimes quick sweeps.....other time they like a calm, traveling motion so to speak.

Only one way to find out-give it a try!
