Jig Fishing

Featured Replies

The jig are my second line of lures for most of the waters that I fish.

I use rattler jigs 1/4 oz.,rarely any heavier than that, I always customize them cutting the skirt to just the level of the hook, cut the guard to the tip of the hook after openning the curve so the tip face up.

I like the Zoom trailers, the super chunk in black and blue but if I don't get a response I change the trailer to the tiny , the soft or the swimming. This change the profile of the jig.

I like braid line, 30 lbs ( 8 lbs dia.).

My waters are haevely cover by lilly pads so I pitch and flip exclusively.

My 2 cents......
