Going fishing today and kinda looking for some advice. Hopefully give enough info to help understand...

Today is cool 55-60 mostly cloudy with north to northwest winds 5-10 mph. Lake is relatively shallow with a few deep pockets. Heard water temp is around 52-55 degrees.

Been told people have caught bass with carolina rig and some with crank-bait.

What kind of advice could be given with this information, if any.

Taking step-son and this will be our first time exclusively bass fishing on new (to our family) boat. Will have to give update upon returning.

Rattle traps.

Try some tighter wiggling crankbaits like a speed trap, and also a crawdad color being red or brown.

Heading out with the advice and will let you know how it goes. May end up on a different lake later. Let's go fishing!

Well, at least I was on the lake. Tried several different things and different presentations. Real winding though, I am going to blame that for the lack of bass! ;D

Sounds like they where fishing points.

Nothing like bouncing those jigs off of those points and drop offs.  It works everytime
