help with conditions

Featured Replies

im going out today and tomorrow to a local conservation area with some small lakes/ponds on it and i was pretty excited but then a cold front came through and its been raining and windy for the last few days but here are the conditions im just looking for advice because these seem to be conditions that i run into a lot and just decide not to go fishing:

water temp: 70

weather: rain/low 60s/wind for the past 3 days

I don't know why, but in rainy and bad weather I just seem to do good on jigs and spinnerbaits alot.

I like to to start with start with spinnerbaits and shallow running cranks in the rain.  If that doesn't produce I would us something like a fluke, trickworm, or senko fished slowly.

Use the wind to your advantage. Should have the bait fish positioned for you.

I go almost exclusively with spinnerbaits in this weather. Usually a willow colorado combo. I've taken a liking to the mylar skirts too. In the off times I dont go with a spinner, it'll be a crankbait.
