Problems with blakemore roadrunners

Featured Replies

List to this folks, got out my 3700 box full of crappie gear to repleanish supply and noticed alot of the horseheads on my roadrunners had the paint "melting",peeling off.I called blakemore and spoke to a man,he said it is likely that the plastic is having a chemical reaction to the lead heads over time and that they recommend not to install plastic bodies to the lead heads til you fish them?I wondered about the ones on store shelves that are already assembled, none the less he is sending me some replacement heads ;) and i will remove all rubber bodies from the jig heads, what do ya'll think? :-?

Make sure they are dry before putting them away. Same goes for all baits. Some paint still melts when it comes in contact with certain plastics but mostly that has been overcome.
