swimming sinko

Featured Replies

I believe so.

I generally use a technique that I use for jerkbaits with them. That is a jerk jerk pause. Either that or ill use a weighted hook and retrieve it steadily.

I only have the natural colors and I use them in clear water. I believe they are supposed to represent baitfish in one way or another.

It's a good bait.  I used them on a 3/0 Gamakatsu EWG and a 1/8-1/4 oz pegged bulllet weight, depending on how deep I want them to run.

u could just use them weight less with no weight the sinko is weighted already so it will still run at a good depth

Are we talking about Gary Yamamato Swim Senkos?

Do you mean that they are heavy enough or are you talking about a different brand of swim senko that comes weighted?

I've never fished them that deep.  I guess a heavier weight, or maybe a weighted swimbait hook like a Daiichi Butt Dragger.   I haven't tried the Daiichi, or any other swimbait hook, on a Swim Senko.  I'm just guessing.

They can be fished a ton of ways. Weightless, with a weight, wacky rigged, on the bottom, mid column, or as a trailer on a jig or chatter bait.

I picked up a couple packs of these last year but only had a chance to throw them twice. I had an issue with the bait spinning/turning completely over. If I remember correctly, I was using a Sled Head hook. Any one else have this problem?

Yes, its called line twist. Respool or attach a swivel and make a leader.  My personal best came on a swim senko fished weightless, texas rigged. Good luck. :)
