Hi guys Im new and have a quick question maybe some1 might answer? . I just got back from this pond ive wanted to fish didnt know there were fish in it. Within the first hour i caught 7 bass 3 of them were 4 pounds and 1 might have been around 5+. I was fishing the shoreline and casting into the weeds with a regular plastic worm most of the bass hit it about 5 feet from shore by the weeds. Does that mean that the bass were on their beds?  Thanks guys and here are some pics. I think the 2nd pic was 5 + pounds

It's possible, but I doubt it just because of the time of year.  Most spawning has been done and I live in the north.  It dependes on the water temperature in the pond you fish.  Could actually see fish on beds?  They were probably in the shallows feeding and very aggressive

No I didnt see them on the beds the water temp was pretty warm air deg 85 water probably warm also.

Not spawning bud..spanwing was back in march I think um here in the north..

Most spawning activity occurs when the water is in the 65 - 70 degree range.  There are some early spawners, when temps are in the 50s, and some late spawners.  Here in Kansas city, at Smithville Lake,  the water temperature in April through May was only 62 - 65 degrees.  There were quite a few fish that spawned but we had a really cool May which resulted in water temperatures not reaching 68 and above until June.  There were still a few fish on beds the first week of June.  It has been ridiculously hot since then so the spawning ended quickly.  Usually, here in Northwest Missouri, the spawn starts in April and may go into May, but this year was quite different.
