I was fishing a dock this afternoon and a couple of guys pulled up to tralier there boat. Me and guy talked while his buddy got the truck. He talked about the fish he caught and how good he did. I belive this guy bacause theres a lot of large fish were he was fishing. But any way He said that he was from gerorgia i gave him a look and asked arnt there big fish in ga and why come up here. He just laughed and said yes theres big bass there and iam visting family here in wisconsin. But i cant belive it that guys that catch 10 lbers almost ever time they fish would want to catch 3-5 lb smallies.

its like he said    hes visiting   whats he suppose to do stay home  

I'll fish the Koi out of the fountain at your summer party if I'm bored,lol.

               .................Fishin' is fishin'.  I gave up catching 1000lb tuna to have more time bass fishing,...it is what it is and size isn't everything.

First of all, there aren't many people that actually catch 10's all the time... save and except to a few Cali guys, I might take what he told you with a grain of salt... or at least temper it some.

Secondly- to people that didn't grow up with smallies lots of us would trade a 10 lb largemouth for a 5 lb smallmouth- (especially those from the south) I sure would!! You should know by now that "the grass is always greener..." ...lol

Well it shocked me that he was fishing. Then i think off all the times i had to spend with my family. when we would go and see them we all had to sit there and be bored. The only thing that we could do was go out side and throw a football around. Then we would get in trouble becasue we would get dirty.

I am one of those that would trade a big Largemouth for a good sized smallie. I would love to catch just one.

let me add this. Iam fishing from shore and iam catching 3-5 lb smallies. Iam sure if i had a boat i would catch more then a few bass a month.
