???- fish relating to depth

Featured Replies

allrity, kind of a stupid question, me and my friend were argueing wether on a small lake where the deepest part is 35 ft, where would the biggest bass be hiding??just though id ask

It depends...What are the conditions. Your not gonna get much help with just that

The largest bass will take up the best available cover that is next to a feeding area that has an escape route to deep water with ample amounts of a food source with the right structure to sustain them.

You tell them that and they will be to mystified to have an answer or want to argue

;D

Our deepest spot is also 35 ft but it is all clay down there.   The larger fish have always been caught "relating" to the depth but not actually down in the bowl until we added structure a few yrs ago.  More is needed but you get the drift.  They WANT to be using the deepest part but it has to offer more than just depth.

If you can't dazzle them with brilliance then baffle them with Bovine scat.
