Water Temp

Featured Replies

I was told by a freind that the water temperature of a lake, at dawn, is warmer at the bottom rather than at the surface. Is this true and if so are you guys targeting the warmar water in the morning?

Thanks

I don't have any scientific proof but I have had excellent luck many times with jigs at dawn in the shade during winter. This is totally opposite of every thing I've heard or read which states the sunny areas should produce better but we didn't catch a single fish in the sun?

The key to consistently catch bass is to fish areas with prime structure and cover, while bass feed less often in cold water they must still feed to survive.
