Are the billed baits floater/wakebaits?

Has anybody used these yet. Do you like the billed ones or the standard?

I noticed all the sinkers out of stock and for good reason, these are some of the finest looking baits I have ever seen.

I got one from RedlineRobert on the Christmas gift exchange.  I am foaming at the mouth to throw this thing.  Probably the best looking bait I own.

Are these like Spro's Bluegill / Trout / BBZ style?

Any Links - Would like to try it if its what im thinking it is..

Thanks - Check out Spro's i dont know a website but they make a Bluegill as well and the Shad looks AWSOME sucks i lost mine on the first cast - they are also half the price.

The Shad looks good but they are totally different from the Hard Bluegill. The bluegill has a lot bigger profile and is heavier. I really want to try one but I would have to get a new rod to throw it on. Darn Monkey....  ;)

Jake I am not trying to sell you at all. However A heavy flipping stick can easily handle a bait under 2oz. Also when you have a light bait with 2 hanging trebles you do not need to horse the fish in like you do with a heavy soft bait.

Well, I've been wanting to get a swimbait rod for a while now. I'm going to start throwing a 3:16 Baby Wake along with your new hard bluegill. I'd be happy to catch a bass even half the size of that 17lber you posted.

For smaller swimbaits a swimbait rod is preffered and nice to have but not absolutly a must. However 2oz is just about the limit depending on the bait. A wood or floating resin bait doesnt quite need the same power as a soft bait. The hard baits generaly have trebles and being hard makes it easier to hook the fish. Soft bait tend to have single hooks and you need to swing harder to get good penatration plus you have to crank them all the way in.  With bigger baits 3oz and up you realy do need a swimbait rod.

Man i cant wait to get my hands on one of those hard Gils.

I saw the videos on youtube of the lures action, and it is amazing, the action looks better than the bbz1 shad

Spro doesnt make a bluegill as far as I know. :-?

They do make a shad but it doesnt come in bluegill colors. My guess is they will add a bluegill to the BBZ lineup in the future.

Garbage.

Matts hard gill is awesome. To answer the op, I have not fished the billed floater, only the non billed sinker. But it is on a very short list of swimbaits that I am looking forward to fishing this spring and summer,

Bought a hard female bluegill and a woodie Monday from Mattlures.com. Some were in stock. ;)
