Downladable Topo Map Web Site Needed

Featured Replies

I need a good topo web site that I can download some of the different lakes I fish onto my computer. If you know of a site please let me know.

Thanks -- Kevin 8-)

I like to fool around with TerraServer on rainy, shut-in days.  I take those HotSpot maps with GPS coordinates, feed them into TerraServer, and take a look at the site from the air.  What I've found is that those Hot Map sites will often show up on dry land when fed into Terra Server :o

I have had good luck with TopoZone getting topo maps and printing them, you have to subscribe I think to download the maps. I also like Google Earth to view Satillite photo's of area lakes. I am lucky that the Google photo of my local lake was when it was very low, so I can see features and contours that for many lakes you only see the water surface. You seem to be able to zoom in lower with Google Earth than you can with TerraServer.
