Speaking of brushpiles...

Featured Replies

BucketmouthAngler13's thread about sinking stuff got me interested and I made these bad boys. But now I cant sink them because the branches will break or get stuck so I dont know what I'm gonna do.

The best brushpiles I have made are by taking cement blocks and cutting branches off of trees. Stick one through one hole and one through the other way.

Theise are easy to handle and you can cut your brush at the river or lake if

legal. You can put as many as you want in a area. Just remember if you are

catching fish on a regular basis don't dare put a brush pile there. I have tryed this and I endup catching very few fish there anymore at that spot. 8-)

Go ahead and sink it. It will not hurt if some of the branches brake off.

The easy way to make fish attractor is to use 5 gal plastic bucket.  Just remoce all paper from the outside and remoce bail.  Put about 3 inch of gravel in and sink.  The algie will grow on the bucket side and fish will come to it.  By using the bucket you will not get hung up with your lures  and they are cheap.  Most time they are free.

Well it depends on where you are sinking it. If you are sinking it in shallow water I would definately trim it, if you are sinking it in a deep spot then don't worry about it. That would certainly attract some fish, I am thinking about taking a 5 gallon bucket, putting a tree in it and then filling it up with gravel. Hopefully the gravel will hold the tree down and also create a algae growing site.

I am also considering sinking a few boxes (wooden) near the spawning area in my pond. That way the bass can get up in the boxes and spawn.

Good luck!  8-)
