Fishing after rain?

Featured Replies

How would you go about fishing the day after it has rained 1/4 to 1/2 inch with the high being around 56 degrees and partly cloudy with windy conditons. I fish from shore. I within driving distance from a river that has smallies and a lake that contains bass and may try to fish them tomorrow.

not much info to go on here..........Post rain, with wind? Spinnerbait would be my 1st thing I would try.......topwater as well...........

Windy to me says spinnerbait a lot of the time. Jerkbait if the water is on the cool side.

Cheers,

GK

Look for mudlines in the water and fish the edges of those. Bass like to ambush prey darting in and out of the mudlines.

IF IT IS WINDY?   JERKBAIT....AND WHEN YOU ARE SLAMIN UM...SMILE...LOL

in the river just try topwaters and senkos because after it rains bugs n stuff fall from the trees and worms(senko's) may be washed down into the river due to alot of rain

I fished today, a small lake, it rained all last night, all morning till about 12 noon. I went right at 1pm and had a great day. The fish didn't seem affected what so ever by it. Still pretty active and lively.

Senkos were a big hit today. Spinnerbait came up with 0, swimbait 0, Senko 4, Random plastic worm I found in my box 1 ! Hula Grub 1.
