Well here in ne pa tomarrow is opening day for trout, i usally go to a frieds pond that is stocked bites are usually good till about 10 30 then they just shut off its weird happens every year, so i figured i might as well bring my bass stuff see if i can catch one, but its been so cold up here i dont know what to use i was thinking maybe  a rattle trap and a finnes jig ?

I say start with a rattle trap or a white spinner bait. Use them to search out bass. If the bite is on and you're catching fish maybe switch to a plastic to search out the bigger ones. If the bites not on keep throwing the trap and spinner for reaction bites.

totally agree with cigarlover, sounds like my kinda fishing fast and furious!  If you are fishing your spinner bait just under the surface or not around any major cover turn the trailer hook upside down.  Won't get to many swings and misses that way.  Good luck

i would probably start with a trap or spinnerbait but if i couldnt get anything going pretty quick id be ready to slow down big time.  id have a jig tied on and also consider senkos or the good old t-rig or c-rig.
