Is it just me?

Featured Replies

Since foot surgery in feb. I have been able to go fish 4 maybe 5 times, this time last year looking at my log I had 50 days logged plus 12 tournaments. Have been wearing an aircast for the last 3 weeks after a hardcast for 6weeks.So the 5lber i caught flipping last friday is the highight so far) Figured out last weekend that as long as I have soon one w/ me to back me/pull me out, I can fish after rigging up the right seat and pedastal in my bassboat, so i dont have to put too much weight on my foot. Weather is great here, although there has been no rain yet the water is muddy everywhere i have been.

Now the problem, everytime I get to the lake....the wind starts blowing 30mph from whatever direction I am trying to fish :'(, I find a protected area and it changes direction....And with my ankle/foot immobile I am almost falling out of my buddies TR20x and my 18'6" aluminum from the wave action.....Anybody else having this problem with the wind or is it just me :-[...I dont mind the wind when I have my usual balance ;D

Top it all off I went back to the small lake I caught my PB since the day I caught it, Its almost unfishable.....Vegtation is unreal, I have yet to I.D the stuff. Tried everything. Even a Spro slop frog will snag the stuff. My dad swears the septic system from the 4H center that surrounds it goes in the lake :o

Dude the wind is driving me insane as well.

Doesn't make for good fishing in a 15' G3.

I posted a thread in the Central Region forum about how bad the wind has been this spring.  Wind plus a 15 and half foot bass boat plus a narrow beam just don't mix, but I have to fish anyway.  You get out when you can.

Not just little boats, This friggin cast makes it hard to keep my balance in a 20ft triton in the wind.....No way am I fishing from anything smaller for a while.
