WI need some help

Featured Replies

This weekend I'm going to be fishing a mountainous res.  What I mean is this is a narrow (200 yrds) at the widest spot the res is 50 miles long and has typical steep banks slow sloping banks and the res is 51% full which is 32 feet low.  So no structure is still in the water.  The weather has been really warm there for the last week.  Temps in the 100's every day and no wind to speak of.  What type of places would you look for and what would you guys use to fish an area like this.  The water temps are in the high 70's in morning and gets up into the 80's.  Help would be great.  Thanks for everythingn in advance.

This is where a good LCR would come into play, but just off the top of my head I'd say points with t-rigs/jigs. 8-)

This type of reservoir is totally out of my realm of expertise but from the few times I've fished a mountainous region here goes. You have mentioned 2 types of structure already typical steep banks/slow sloping banks; my choice of baits would be shaky heads and twin tail grubs. From my limited knowledge I would think this would be a finesse situation calling for light tackle and due to the high heat during the mid-day hours I'd fish early/late.
