local pond

Featured Replies

a local pond here in atlanta is down due to lack of rain I just started fishing here i'm able to walk out to where there usually a little island and every where that water will normally be when pond is full looks like the moon, full of craters and indentations. Are fishing making these holes. the pond is about 5-7 acers is there any way to deturmine the size of the fish from the indentations

Chances are those holes are old spawning beds from fish.

Cats will also burrow up like that, leaving holes

by cats do you mean like a kitty cat or like a ugly nasty catfish?

yea those are spawning beds BTW. if they are small and close, then they are from bluegills, if they are larger and farther apart then probably from bass.
