Dowels and Brush for Low Pond

Featured Replies

I am going to Lowe's today to purchase 10 to 12 large size  three-foot dowels and then cut down some brush in the woods behind my house and bring the items to my local pond which is very, very low.

I am going to hammer the dowels around the pond's shoreline and place the brush under two or three docks.

With the water so low I can do this easily.

Do you guys have any other suggestions regarding what types of structure and cover I could place in the pond at this time?

Your suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Only one suggestion use PVC instead of wood it'll last longer  ;)

PVC last FOREVER as in more plastic trash.  Once the brush is rotted away the PVC is still there.  I would stick with the dowels, at least when the brush is gone, they will be too.

Thanks guys,

I have a bag of large rocks and I will start a rock pile.

Also will start to use the wood dowels.

Thanks a million for your input and guidance.
