Just a quick question. Can you get lake maps just for the pc? Does anyone sell a package just like they make for maping GPS units but just for the pc...

    Google "Mapsource". Their programs are around 100 bucks.

    Also, the newest Navionics Maps for your GPS can also go on your computer.

    You can go to the Lowrance Web site and download an emulator for one of their GPS capable products.  Then go to their Free Enhanced Lake Maps and download the lakes that you want to view over the emulator.  They don't have all lakes and not the detail of a Navionics but it is FREE.

    Also, http://mapper.acme.com/ has some topo maps free online.
