Anyone else using mend-it to combat tackle costs?
Couple things. Have been using mend it for years and it truly is an amazing product. I'll save ripped plastics and repair them over the winter while watching movies. Works on 99% of the plastics I have tried, including Yamamoto baits. Big swimbaits, small finesse worms, it dosent matter, just works. Has saved me hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of dollars. Make sure you let it dry before handling and I always let them air out before bagging. As far as what it is... Word is its 50% PVC glue (Clear stuff) and 50% Acetone.

Retrieving a rod/reel combo from the depths
Get a metal fish stringer... the one with a many clips. Open them all up wide, attach a rope/line and a weight to it so it sinks. Drag away.

Is Ike a little over the top?
He is the OPPOSITE of the TRUE AMERICAN PROFESSIONAL angler. I do understand him. Having worked with troubled kids.. I understand very well. Everyone is emotional to some degree. Skeet, KVD, CLUNN...all of them are emotional. Some choose to contain it, to a point, and some dont. IKE's emotions show elements of violence. Demonstrations of domination over a smaller object/fish. Violent outbursts followed by him breaking equipment. Displays stabbing motions, barking, taunting.... I could go on but you all have seen it. OK Dr.Phil, now that you brought this into the picture, let's see i have spent my career working a a Job Corps Center, currently Supervisor of Residential Living, I would say I work with " troubled kids" Ike: 1. is not a kid 2. He is very excitable, and shows NO SIGNS of INHERENT VIOLENCE he does show the passion and vigor of an Italian American guy from New Jersey. I am an Italian American guy from Brooklyn, so maybe I can feel him a little bit better than you do. We were taught to show our emotions growing up. Better to show them than turning them inwards and then going postal Throwing pliers is a long way away from hurting animals and the other classic signs of aggression also why would you dismiss Robbie's comments like that. Bad foot to start off around here. :-? oh and by the way WHAT PLACE DID YOU COME IN AT THE CLASSIC : I am not getting into a ticking match on the internet about credentials. You are a counsler, a Dr. Phil Jr., big deal.... Later.... this Ike love fest is too much.

Is Ike a little over the top?
Everyone needs to chill. I'm not bashing mike as a fisherman. I read his book, I enjoy watching him fish. I dont enjoy watching him act like an *** He is a great fisherman. That wasn't the question The question was is he over the top... My answer was YES. I also think he has some issues. Thats all.

I did watch the final. He got river water in his mouth... could get sick from the bacteria I would spit it out too. Right... whatever... Now justify/explain the pliers into the deck....

Online store reviews allowed?
Ok thanks for the info. I was wondering because I wanted to see what the deal was with a certain place and if anyone ever delt with them before. I got treated like crap, was blown off, was told a bunch of BS, and sent on my way..... Just a bad way to run a business..... That said, its done, and after thinking about it, I'm going to let this thread die. Thanks for the info -M

Online store reviews allowed?
Just wondering if you are allowed to give out opinions on online stores, positive and negative. The reason I ask is that I just ran into one of the most annoying buying experience I have ever had with an online retailer and wanted to warn people to avoid the hassle... M

Loch Raven Reservoir, MD
Corey, I grew up fishing that water. You know where the little island and peninsula is? Right along the hardest fished parts. Around that area is a stump field. Cant reach it from shore, and boat guys either dont know or avoid it cause its in a goofy spot.... Anyway.....there has always been quality fish there. PM me. Mike

SW Pennsylvania Thread
I dont stop until the water is hard, and then I switch to trout/steelhead. I was out last weekend and got some nice fish, and lost what could have been my largest PA bass to date... I'll be out again this weekend dragging a jig.....looking for that fish...

Pittsburgh area bass anglers....need some info....
First off, I want to say hello. Been reading the forum for a while now, and I think its a great place for info. I'm looking to join a bass club, and maybe try some local tournaments next year. Anyone from the Pittsburgh area that could lead me in the right direction. Any suggestions on how to go about joining a club (reviews would be great) would be great. Let me know. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Mike
