And once in awhile I dream about picking up free expensive hardbaits from logs, timber, brush piles ..Etc in a reservoir right after the water has dropped.

Funny stuff, all lures are usually brand new and available in different colors, every single tree looks like a christmas tree decorated with hardbaits.....

Huh!  I thought I was the only one who had dreams like this!  It tells me that the acquisition of lures is lots of fun: hence that darned bait monkey!

In my dreams I do a fair amount of fishing but not very much catching!  And I always thought we escaped reality in our dreams.  Not!!!!

I once dreamt that I was a bass or am I a bass that dreamt I'm a fisherman.  :-/ Seriously, I wake myself up setting the hook or having the  rod yanked out of my hand. You know, the one the bait monkey bought.

Just had a vivid fishing dream last night, probably as a result of this thread  ;D  Thanks for starting it, because it was an awesome dream...

I was fishing at a small unnamed pond that my brother and I call "Huge Pond" because it is home to huge bass.  The water was very muddy, a dark orange/red color (we've gotten a lot of rain lately - in real life).  I was fishing a senko with a spinning setup from shore.  My brother was there, as well as a friend of mine and his nephew (I sometimes go fishing with the two of them).  The other three were catching nice bass every cast, and I had only gotten one.  I cast my senko out, got an immediate hit, set the hook, and as I was reeling it I said, "Ohh boy, this is a nice one!"  As it got to shore, I saw that it was HUGE - about a 10 lber (sorry guys, I didn't get a weigth on her   )  I lipped her, and somehow my lure had changed to a white/chartreuse/red spinnerbait.  The main hook and the trailer hook were deep in the roof of her mouth, but I got them out just fine - I do remember in great detail the whole process of getting the hooks out.  I turn around for some pictures and all of a sudden my grandmother is there (she introduced me to fishing) with the camera, but she's holding it diagonally.  I remember being frustrated because the pictures were gonna be crappy, and that's the last I remember.

Usually I don't remember dreams in that much detail, but right when I woke up, I went over all the details again so I could retain them and post them on this thread  ;D

Heck, I get skunked more often than just about anybody that visits this forum {didn't get a touch on my last two trips} ! Then every now and again, I just get lucky enough to stick a good one :-)

I had one where I was fishing with my buddy in a small boat. and I guess a giant bass came up and it grabbed the boat and lifted it in the air. and of course I still tried to catch it even though it was lifting the boat up. haha

LoL I had a similar dream except the bass was pulling the boat like when you're going full blast in a speed boat. Also had an other dream where my yard was flooded and I was fishing off the roof    

I actually never had this dream until someone was talking about the dream on this forum...What happens is, I'm walking around a small lake (or pond) far from my house and I see this 15 pounder on a bed...When I go to cast, I have no line on my reel!!!! It's terrible!!

I have this dream where I'm fishing at work. The floor is the water and my fork lift is my boat and I through senko's around the corners of the pallets. I'm all happy and content then I hear my boss over the intercom then the alarm clock go's off :'(

I have wierd dreams where Im fishing in an incredible pond thats somehow connected to my house, dreams where I catch parts of fish, and sometimes I think Im getting a bite and set the hook but manage to sustaine mild injuries at 3:00am

I have had this same dream a few times.  I am fishing in the same boat as KVD and we are fishing a tournament against each other, similiar to the old Red Man trail set up where you share the front.  We are going fish for fish and it is getting towards the end of the tournament and he is looking nervous.  I never make it to the weigh in because I guess I get so excited I wake myself up.  I guess it is nice to dream haha ;D
