Hi everyone, im new in bass fishing. I have fished different species (trout, wolffish. peac bass) pretty much all in top and mid water lures. I just now started to fish the bottom using worms and jigs.

Today i went to lake murray in SD, sunny and warm. I got there around 5. I fished from the shore and shallow: 1 bass in a 4' blackpurple worm

and a nice crappie on a xrap rainbow(!!!!!). As the sun was setting i could see a lot of bait and also bass really shallow.Im going to Poway next week does anyone can give me some tips? Thanks

Welcome  :)  I'm not anywhere near you but with spring coming on and water temperatues rising.  Most bass will be beginning to move up from deeper water.  There are a number of tactics to fish for them.  Try reading some of the articles on site here for prespawn and spawing periods.  TONS of great info.  Good luck!!!
