I was catching some minnows in my net on sunday and got some minnows and a fish that looks just like a bass fry. I have a couple of questions.

1. How big are bass fry? The one I caught in my minnow net is only about 1/2" long.

2. What do bass fry eat? I'm keeping him in a cooler with a aerator.

3. How fast will this fish grow?

Bass fry can be any length really from the time they are hatched.

Baby fish eat algea that green stuff ya see in the shallows that gets caught on  your hooks.

I have no clue how fast they will grow

I seen schools of bass fry once being eaten by small pickerel.  I put on a small bass lure and picked off the pickerel.  I had to help the little guys & gals out just a little.  They were getting hammered.
