carp and bass

Featured Replies

I have been noticing more and more carp in my favorite lake and I have been noticing a decline in my bass catching. is this coincidence or do carp have that much impact on bass.  the lake I fish is smaller 177 acres. I have been considering bringing my bow to try and thin their population a bit as well as pass the time between bites.

what do you think.

If your lake is facing Carp overpopulating, and it sounds that it could be, I think you will have alot of fun arrowing them but it will be hard to make a real impact unless you and friends do it on a regular basis. It is hard to control a perfect balance of vegetation and fish life in any given body of water. But I applaud your efforts in trying and have fun doing it.
