doing my part

Featured Replies

well my nephew called me today and told me that some people were fishing at our favorite spot and seemed to be taking under limit sized largemouths,so i took it upon myself to call the dec in our area.About an hour later an officer called me back to take my info on the situation. The reason I felt compelled to call is because we saw these same people at this location before, and felt they may have been keeping small fish, and that really gets under my skin. If your going to teach your chidren to fish and keep fish , dont you think it would be in your childrens best intrest to teach them to fish properly?

some say ignorance is bliss, I say its stuuuuuuupit >:(

I reported to the statewide dispatcher a couple of months ago a guy who was keeping bass illegally. Later the officer called to tell me the guy was still there when he arrived on the scene and how he tried to lie his way out of it. The officer told a little fib of his own, based on what I reported, and told him that he saw him keep a fish. Then the guy came clean and got his ticket.

Unfortunately, there's loads of illegal keeping around here and the officers are spread thin and barely make a dent in it.
