Hey all, everytime a cold-front comes in, i get skunked. I try to fish right in the cover of lily pads, or weed mats with a soft-plastic, but nothing.

Any help here? Open to any comments, Thanks!

Go deep after a big front, Fronts are diffucult to fish but usually it takes a while for the front to affect the fish. But I would definatley fish deeper then normal. I am by no means a great deep water fisherman, but after hearing all the replys on topics that relate to this one I have tried it and I am now a believer!!!

Fish slow and lose alot of lures! haha Make em rattle,slam em against the cover etc etc. Usually if i find a good looking spot,ill fish it for awhile

Bright bluebird days after a front the fish tend to either move tight to cover or suspend out over the creeks and channels. Since the suspending fish are the hardest for me to catch I concentrate on the tight to cover senario. I fish very slow and when tight I mean let your lure scrape the bark on a tree or stump when when pitching. I will concentrate on the cover closest to a creek channel or other available deeper water. I will crash the grass with a 1oz. or 1 1/4oz. weight on a plastic of choice or the same size jig and crawworm.

If forced to fish for suspending fish I will try to locate the depth that the shad are relating to by using my depth finder and ideling around a pocket out over the nearest channel and run a fast moving crankbait at that level. Good luck
