  1. By far KVD! Hes a great teacher ;D
  2. Well i tried some different things this evening.I found a spot which is highly overlooked on this lake.I also found a weed line where a rocky knoll came up from 16ft to 8. I pitched a watermelon "bitzy bug" jig with a black n blue trailer onto the edge of the moss .After about the second hop ,this lil guy nailed it. Dunno how much it weighed but i grabbed a pic with the cell cam just to thank you guys.
  3. yea i noticed the other day the moss is here on most of the banks.6 ft out too. Maybe time to pull out mr frog ;D
  4. thanks guys for the advice. It is a clear water lake as well which makes it worse. Oh ,and trust me, ill be fishing before the boats are turned loose and the fishing does in fact shut down real quick. The largest bass ive caught there have been on grassy points at 12ft out or so using 7 inch zoom worm and small line. Ive seen huge results while practicing my presentation. Most of the tourny guys have none. Its a nice day here ,may go scout them out soon
  5. cool ! where u fishing at around g-town?
  6. i love fishin shakey head, maybe because im shakey alot. lol Congrads,he looks 12lb if u ask me. I dont have scale,,im just sayin ;D
  7. I have been fishing a small lake "169 acres idle speed" quite a bit this summer. I usually do ok there but nothing ever over 3lbs. I remember when the wildlife shocked this lake, the hawgs that were there. Problem is,theres 5 tournys a week.Yea 5 different bass tournys ,5 different days. Its sad really with a 12 inch limit. Upsets me because i have seen the quility of larger bass vanish over the past few years. I know they are there, just spooked im assuming. Any advice on how to put the odds in my favor in a sad situation like this? I have been fishing way after dark hoping for a little better luck. I even watch the weigh ins with very little over a 3lbs "big fish". Maybe they have gone deep. Im sure a few of you guys have experienced this before. input? >
  8. For some reason i find the zone while fishing alone at around midnight-4am. I love having a fishing partner but it can throw you off your game . Everyone should do the alone zone at least a few times a month.Dont forget the camera.lol
  9. I pay no attn to anything other than moon phase. But thats just me. Adjust for what u have at hand!
  10. Fish slow and lose alot of lures! haha Make em rattle, slam em against the cover etc etc. Usually if i find a good looking spot, ill fish it for awhile
  11. Today,i was fortunate enough to grab the last few of the new "3"Sunrise Sexy Shad by Strike King."KVD winning lure 08" It just looks good to me. I grabbed a lipless red eye as well. Cant wait to see how it does tom. after the weather clears up. Anyone else got to try them yet?
  12. Great! Im gonna spend more money than i have. haha
  13. thanks guys i was wanting to add to my collection. This is the first yr ive really used crank baits and seam to have great luck with a 20 yr old rappala that my father handed down to me. Its gold and black 5inch and dives around 5 feet. Makes me smile when i land one one the same lure my father used yrs ago.
  14. I know it seems every year something is hot on the market in the way of lures or soft plastics. So whats the chatter about in 08?
  15. I know the pain man i havent had the tracker out once this yr. I always tagg along with my fishing partner. Times are tough
