Fishing after a heavy rain

Featured Replies

I fish a 500 acres lake in CT and every time we get a heavy rain the fishing slows down for a couple days.  Why is that?

Thanks

Good Pattern for me on lakes during and after heavy rains:

One of the few times outside of late night I will fish a shore line. Look for a shore line that has a decent amount of runoff that is coming into the lake, The shores most productive have weed and or rock cover and are close to a drop off. T RIGGED/WEIGHTLESS Worms( 71'2" to 11") in brown or green colors and throw it right out from said runoff, This works incredibley! I think the fish cruise there areas and are tuned into looking for washed in food!
