When the water is the same temperature from the top to the bottom. No thermocline , which makes it harder to locate bass , they are usually scattered all over the lake.

I'm sure someone can give a better techinal report then I just did.

Hahaha! thanks, I have never heard the term until lately. So in the summer the bass are where in the lake and where are they in the winter?

Winter most  of the time they will be in deep water.
