Best Color Sunglass Lens.

Featured Replies

I was wondering what the best polarization color would be for fishing water that has a green tint but is mostly clear and that would also work well just for overall river fishing

I think an amber lens is about the best all around.

Thanks alot guys i was kinda leaning towards Mossback. I dont know much about sunglasses is solar bat a good brand?

Copper color lenses cut glare and filter blue light waves best. Next is amber, then gray. Gray offers the truest color perception. I use Cocoons Aviators.    8-)   Happy fishing.

its all about conditions but i think amber is best all around.. i fish oakley but solar bat is also a good brand

I have a pair of natives with amber, grey, and yellow.  The amber worked well on the water but didn't "tint" the world around me enough to consider them sunglasses, things still appeared bright, especially if looking toward the sun.  Ive sinced switch to using the grey lenses (interchangable) and like them much bettter.  The colors make more sense, the sun is less bright (which is better for driving and any other nonfishin activities) but they still cut through the water and allow you to see well.  Unless your doing alot of lowlight fishing conditions, in which case I'll switch to my yellow lenses which dont shade hardly at all, but still poloarize your vision.

When I got my prescription sunglasses, the optomitrist told me that gray was the most versatile color.
