If I Fish It Will They Come?

Featured Replies

Here is the deal. Water temp last Sun. was 57 and we caught a bunch of 13-15 inch smallies. I have a tournament this Sat. and the weather has been WARM this week. I think I can go up the river and catch some good blacks, but I would like to stay down the lake and hope the big female small jaws will come up shallow. Its a gamble, I know its a gamble, but thinking about showing up to the weigh in with a limit of "over" smallies !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! btw the lake has a 13-16 inch slot.

I'm sorry guys I just don't agree, I'm going down the lake after SM.

never leave fish to find fish. thats a very important rule.

At 57* the smallies have all ready moved up around here. And if it was 57* last week and you didn't have any cold nights or cold rains those fish should definatley be moving up if they have not all ready. How has the weather been?
