How can I get a matte style finish on my jig heads? I put some in the oven and one came out with the matte finish and the others were slick and shiny.

I have been doing this for awhile. Catch a good one then put it in the livewell untin I get out on open water so my boat does not drift into the bank or I find someone to take the picture because I fish alone alot. That color change is stress. Yes your live well will stress a fish just the same as a storage bin.

Here is the deal. Water temp last Sun. was 57 and we caught a bunch of 13-15 inch smallies. I have a tournament this Sat. and the weather has been WARM this week. I think I can go up the river and catch some good blacks, but I would like to stay down the lake and hope the big female small jaws will come up shallow. Its a gamble, I know its a gamble, but thinking about showing up to the weigh in with a limit of "over" smallies !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! btw the lake has a 13-16 inch slot. I posted this in the gen. bass fishing forum but thought about asking you guys.
