In a local pong here a couple min away from the house the bass are already starting to nest they wont move for nothing. Anything I put infront of it  it just looks at is and acts as if it isnt there? How can I catch them, i would like for my wife to catch them cause they have some size to them. Anything would help.

use anything that stands up on it's nose - good bet would be a tube that resembles a bream or a lizard in the natural lizard color for the area - these are the two main enemies of a bass bedding - the storm brand bream swimbaits are a good choice

make sure you use an exposed hook because they aren't interested in killing the intruder - only escorting it away from the nest - an exposed hook will seal the deal. Be patient and super persistent

if all else fails use something super bright like hot pink and fish it very aggressively - sometimes you can provoke a bedding bass to attack it

    I would take a Spot Remover shakey head jig head and a Roboworm Aaron's Magic color 5" worm.  It always gets those stubborn bedding fish to bite.

    BTW, This is the same setup that KVD used to win on SML in he was fishing for spawning bass.

   

Bonk em' on the head with your bait. When they will guard the bed, but just won't bite when you put it in front of them, hitting (Not snagging) them with your bait will usually tick them off enough to defend the nest and bite your bait. Each bed fish has a unique character that they will play... it is up to you to figure out who they are playing and then you will know how to approach them... Practice makes perfect

Once you do catch them, make sure you release them on that same spot so that they can go back to guarding the nest and therefore continue the cycle of life.

Remember it is important to preserve this beautiful hobby of ours.

There is a pond near by me that is loaded with 4 and 5 lb bass that are the same way.  I have got it down to where I can catch about 30lbs in a few hours out there by bed fishing.  What I do is take a 1/2oz white jig with a white paca chunk.  I think the color doesn't matter but its easier for me to see.  Anyways, place it in their bed, if they don't respond proceed to hop it violently about 1ft off the bottom.  This sometimes will provoke an immediate reaction strike, especially if the fish doesn't know that you are there.  If that doesn't work, try to get side ways of the fish.  Drag the bait into its bed so that the line will drag over his nose, somewhere near his eyes.  Swim the jig up and bump him in the side of the face.  They can't stand it when it gets close to their eyes like that.  Most of the time they will just turn away, make a circle and nose down to the bait.  If not keep on doing it.  You may have to make as many as 40 or 50 repeated presentations just like this one, but before long that fish will bite and will bite very aggressively.  KEY IDEA:  LOTS AND LOTS OF REPEATED PRESENTATIONS!!! and every now and then a sudden change of bait can't spark the bite too.  Good luck with the fish.

Believe it or not, one year me and my bro caught em on bed by attaching a weightless Zoom trick worm onto a live bait bobber then casting past the nest and reeling into it! With the worm dangling in there face they couldn't resist. Sounds crazy but it works(sometimes)!

I've had success fishing a white tube. For some reason it aggravates bedding bass to no end.

I appriciate it guys. Come to find out today, i had a hot pink trick worm, but i cut it into and used the littlest end and texas rigged it, caught 3 that were all keepers. It was something about the hot pink they couldnt resist thatnks alot guys.

The main reason people use bright colors is so you can see when the fish has the bait in its' mouth and isn't just mouthing it to get it out of the bed. If you throw that same trick worm into the bed and it was green pumpkin or watermelon it probably would have also worked just fine.
