Found my new go-to bait

Featured Replies

I used some hollow body swimbaits for the first time yesterday and killed them on a local pond. I love the action and so do the bass. The best part was I got them from Academy for about $4.40 for 4 5" baits Academy brand. The 4" ones are about $4.20. I don't think I'll buy the more expensive brands.

I was fishing pretty clear water with them. I had a male strike it first and then I had the female launch from about 12ft away from it and clobber it. It was the coolest thing I've seen while fishing. I was fishing a sandy area of the pond first and it was about a foot and a half of water. After cathing and releasing them I move to another bankline that was about 4-6ft of water and caught 3 on 3 casts. I was using the 4 inch bait since it was a pond and I was fishing for numbers not size. I actually had an 8 inch bass get the whole bait in its mouth!

Check Tackle Warehouse often. They have Shadalicious on sale for $3.99 every now and then.

Dicks has them for $4.99 now. Just got back.
