First does anyone fish these Goby baits? Or are they just another plastic bait? I would like to try them this year,so how do you guys rig them?  I did order some of the Buckeye Goby Sleds jig, looks like a cool jig.But I just would like to know if there are any other ways to fish them?

The heads on these Goby Baits are very thick, do you have problems on hook sets?

I just heard a fact that they have found several smallmouth bass with up to 12 gobies in their stomachs (Lake Ontario). So i wanna also start to use them this summer.

Use a big enough hook, and it won't be a problem.

You can also catch HUGE browns with goby baits.

The bass in the Great Lakes gobble them up, but I wonder how they would work in waters where there is not a goby population.

If there are sculpins, they will bite.  I suspect they would work anywhere, though.  Look at a Sweet Beaver - nothing looks like that, and it gets bit anywhere I go.

The goby is crack for smallies!

I use the big boy jigs for tubes on lake erie. It makes the head look like a goby. goby = crack for smallies

Do you mean the "Big Dude" from Bite Me baits?

The "Big Boy" that I know is a flipping jig with a brush guard.

Goby baits work in all kinds of water. I fish them all over this stae and have caught some good fish on them. Usually on a jighead or dropshot
