I thought Castaic had good swimbaits so I finally saved a little cash and ordered 2 Castaic platinum threadfin swimbaits and used them today.The biggest waste of money I have ever seen.They dont swim and they run sideways.They are a piece of junk.Please don't waste your money on this junk. >;)

    I have several of the original Castaic Shad Swimbaits and they ROCK! Awhile back I purchased a couple of the current ones and  have to agree, they suck! I guess once you get to be a big company the quality control goes to heck.

    I saw the catch 22s for the first time yesterday in a rainbow trout pattern and holy crap! That thing looked like the trout we have in the pond I fish. I was really impressed.

    Yup, at a distance, it's hard to tell a real trout form the catch 22.. at least it is for these Old eyes.. ;D
