for what is worth nice cat. i myself havent tried deep water yet i just fish early and hope for the best. im still new and trying to learn what i can.. i bout to rig my jon boat with a light so i can start night fishing on lakes that is allowed. but the areas i fish now is only sunrise to sunset.

not having any luck with this structure,open water stuff. ive tried and tried. just aint happenin. if i cant find fish around weeds or cover, i might as well head to the house it seems. if there are weeds in open water, i can catch fish usually if they are there. but as far as points,dropoffs, i think ive caught 2 this whole year doing it. and neither one was worth catching.

Taken into mind that the condition of the water such as: temperature & color are factors into this. Something to remember is to match the color of whatever it is that you are using to the color of the water.
