MULTIPLE TRAILER HOOK USES??

Featured Replies

have any of you ever used a trailer hook on a shakey head with a worm that just seemed too long for the whole fish to eat to get to the hook.  Just a thought.  It might work for those fish that just nipple small portions of the worms.  Or would it just be too obvious to have two hooks on a worm??

I once fished with a guy who had 1 worm hook, and 2 trailer hooks on a floating pink worm. It almost seemed as a hard bait b/c it had 3 hook points sticking out at all different areas of its body. I'd imagine it would most likely effect the action of the bait, not to mention the hang-up ratio.

Not saying it wouldn't work if the worm was really long but if I were you I would just use a larger hook instead of adding a trailer. I agree with shakes, I think it would mess up the action.

I tried fishing a lizard like this once, but it didn't help. Turns out you have to be in the vicinity of fish to catch them.
