Ok so this weekend it was typical postspawn fish moving deeper to brush piles. I was catching fish pretty consistly on the brush piles but it was only 1 fish per brush for me. I know there has to be more than just 1 fish onb each brush but couldnt get anymore than than just one.

So here is my question how do yall pick fish(s) off one target  such as brush piles?

My best technique for fishing brush piles (depending on the brush pile, time of year, water conditions, etc.) is to try to pitch right down in the heart of it.  I like to use Senkos or T-rigged worms or craws with the lightest weight I can be by with.  I try to feel the lure hitting the brances and just jiggle it enough to get it falling again.  Usurally when they are in the brush, they are suspended and will be looking for something within easy reach.

Once you catch one there 1) may be another in the same vicinity or 2) come back in a half-hour and another will have taken the first one's place.

So continue to fish for the second or third one and then move along planning to return to the same spot in a half-hour to an hour.
