Drop shot question

Featured Replies

What are the top things to throw on a drop shot for spring time bass?

I am thinking 4" senkos rigged regular and wacky any other suggestions?

Springtime?  I don't do a lot of finesse drop shotting during prespawn.  Other power/search techniques are usually more efficient and productive.  I will say that fishing just outside where the crappie guys are throwing live minnows would be a good place to try a Gulp! Alive Minnow on a drop shot.

You can put practically whatever bait you want to drop shot on your hook... T-rigged, nose hooked or even wacky.  There are a zillion threads on drop shotting. Just run a search using the search function and you will find a wealth of excellent information here. Also, check out the articles section. :)

For a definitive work on finesse drop shot, Google "Rich Zaleski Drop Shot."

Can't recommend that highly enough.  When you find and read his article(s) you will feel like you graduated from Drop Shot University 101.

Anything goes with a drop shot.

Any size bait or type of bait.

Experiment.  :)
