Reaction Strike Revolution Shad

Featured Replies

I bought or should I say won this on ebay, it's the ghost colorsomething in slow sinking.  I got it for a real good price so why not?

Tried it out today & it swam quite well, similar to the Spro BBZ-1 Shad.  I did add some Storm Suspend Dots to make it drop a bit faster.  It casts "ok" not like casting the Spro Shad which casts much better.  Also changed out the stock hook w/ a size 1 Gamakatsu treble hook.

I was thinking that the Revolution Shad wouldn't swim all that well but it does.  Now it just needs to warm up some more so I can really use the Revolution & Spro Shad & see how well they work.

I also bought the Sebile Magic Swimmer in natural shiner.  The only thing I don't like about these lures mentioned is how quickly they rise up.  I guess they are mostly for waking???

I thought the magic swimmers sank though.

They do sink, but they don't stay sunk when you retrieve them.  They tend to rise on the retrieve.  If you retrieve them fast with your tip up, they will run on the surface.  If you retrieve them slowly with your rod tip down, you can keep them underwater.  The fast sink will run deeper than the slow sink.

Let us know how the reaction strike compares to the spro! that will be a cool comparison.

We covered this last fall, the Reaction baits have come apart easily. mine after 4 casts and no fish. I've got some spro's that I've fished since last fall and they're still going strong.

My Magic swimmers are the slow sink and they make  a great wake bait and the finish holds up well also.

I  have been fishing the RS baits for several months now with no problems. Great action and the fish like them too. Fun little bait.
