Reaction innovations markets the BMF hook specifically for flippin' baits like the beaver. Its a bit expensive, but it wont bend out on a braid hookset like some other hooks...I like too use the BMF hook for flukes myself.

For the 4.25" beaver i use a 4/0 EWG Gamakatsu super line hook.

IMO, a 2/0 is WAAAAAAY too small! I use a 4/0 because i only use my beavers to pitch/flip in heavy vegetation where the potential for big fish is high. The beaver is too much plastic to get a solid hook set with a smaller hook.

4/0 straight shank

I use the same 3/0 EWG hook I use for almost all soft plastics.

With Beaver baits, I had, for whatever reasons, problems setting the hook on a EWG hook. I switched to a normal straight worm hook and do just fine now. 4/0 size... This is the kind of hook I mean:

I use an Owner Sled head with Screw-Lock Shank hook for most of my fishing. I love them because keep the bait secure and I feel that I get more fish out of each plastic.
