B.A.S.S. Membership And Gift?

Featured Replies

I did get a letter in the mail that if you would sign up for $10 you would get the B A S S membership for one year and get the Bassmaster magazine. They also said that if you mailed it in within 10 days you would get a free tackle bag. Has anyone signed up and did you get the tackle bag or is this just another selling ploy? I did belong to this membership years ago and I would not sign up for $ 29.95 a year but for $ 10 I would!

The ploy is, they have been giving that bag away for over a year or two now so I would not worry to much about the 10 day thing. It's nothing special but it does come in handy for say plastic worm packs. It's a small bag but holds plenty of bags of plastics.

Normal price is 15 bucks, so 10 is a great deal. hopefully now that Jerry is an owner the mag with be worth the price like it once was.

i got mine like a year ago.

I came across their bag in my attic this weekend.

Small one but nice quality.

The $10 is a bargain as you get the magazine which is pretty good.

I would rate the magazine right behind Bassin.

Suggest you invest the $10.  :)

Ya, I did send it in. For $10 bucks what the heck!

The bag is pretty small, but it could get some use it you're traveling light.

I never got my bag. What I got instead was a hat...mailed in a padded envelope. Who in their right mind ships a baseball cap in an envelope? It looks like somebody sat on it for a week.  >:(

What's even more irritating is my father-in-law keeps getting tackle bags from them, for no reason. He's been a member forever, so it's not like he keeps resubscribing or anything.  ::)

The bag deal isn't new I received my first one over 6 years ago B.A.S.S. was giving them out on renewals as part of a gift package as well, line, Decals, Lure, a pin and the bag. I have 3 of them.

10$ is well worth it, the bag is cool, I use it for bags of worms and lizards, etc.

I'd rather have a bag than the hat they sent me last year. Like Stasher said, it gets completely flattened in shipping and it's really not of that high of quality to begin with.

I got my bag years ago and use it for my shaving etc kit when traveling.

When the letter comes to me I will absolutely send them the 10 bucks. I dropped out of B.A.S.S. years ago when the magazine became so redundant. I want to support the new owners. In my opinion ESPN did  little or nothing for B.A.S.S. except drag it down. I hope the newby's can bring it back.
