No Classic on TV this w/end?

Featured Replies

Sorry if this has already been posted.  It looks like there is no TV coverage on ESPN until the following week, is this correct?

I wish BASS would switch to the Outdoor Channel or something so we could get a little more coverage, anyone else?

Yeah I noticed this too...

I really like it last year when they had the TV coverage the same weekend of the Classic.

By the following weekend though everybody is going to know what happenened by looking on Bassmaster.com so I don't think its smart on their part if they wanted good ratings.

I believe you can actually stream coverage from bassmaster.com.  Not the same as watching it on TV, but still the Classic nonetheless...

I understand that same day coverage for fishing isn't quite as easy to produce as say a golf tourney or football game but I always liked the effort they gave it during the classic for the past few years.  There has got to be a better alternative out there for BASS coverage on TV, not that I'm dissatisfied w/ what ESPN airs, I would just like to see it expanded a little.

Glenn, Keri and I will be hard at work at each weigh-in. As soon as we get back to the hotel we will do all we can to post pictures and maybe some video so you guys can see some of what's going on. We are very limited compared to ESPN but we will do our best.

Excellent!  Bet you guys will have a ton of fun down there, don't get carried away on Bourbon St :)

I heard that the reason behind no "live"coverage on ESPN 2 this year was because the Delta is so big that there's no way they can have boats running the guys down so far apart just to grab the video footage, download it, and get the clips ready with Zona's commentary to show for a quality program. They're going to take a week to do it right and then put it on for us to see. I've always looked forward to the same-weekend coverage as well... maybe next year when it's on a smaller body of water.
