Help With Swimming Sinko's

Featured Replies

I just picked up a pack of swimimng sinko's and I have know clue how to fish them..

Do you rig them waitless and swim them or on a jig head and bounce them off the bottom c rig them

or texas rig them i havent a clue  :-[

 thanks in advance

The only way I rig them is texas rigged, with or without a weight. Now I'm not saying that the carolina rig wont work, but I'm no good at carolina rig. when I bought my pack, a bunch of the tails were bent, and couldnt be bent back. Well I read out of a magizine to boil water and dip the tail in...well, it worked, just thought I would tell you that.

The key to the swimming senko is weight.  In order to fish it as GY intended you must add enough weight to the nose so the tail will wag on retrieve.  I think 1/8 is minimum.  typcial would be be a little heavier.  I use 3/16 or 1/4,  i use a fairly steady retrieve with a little action here and there.  Good bait.

it's pronounced senko. sinco is like the spanish word for 5.

Good tip Avid, Thanks, I'm going to try ASA the ice allow me. This is a lure that frustrate me a lot, I can see the potential but I only got pickerels with them weightless.
